[Hallicrafters] SX-28A Audio Transformer

Skip,

Your transformer may be OK.  The two sides of the primary will each  
have essentially the same number of terms but
the DC resistances will be different because diameter of the windings  
and hence the the LENGTHS of the (very fine)
wire on each side will be different. I just checked a unit I have, (10  
Kohms CT primary to 8 & 16 ohms secondary)  and
one side of the P-P primary measures 440 ohms DC to center and the  
other side reads 360.  Anyone else out there
have an original SX-28 unit they can measure?
