I just finished a compete stem to stern realignment of my SX-115 — just because.  I also had the band indicator and KC dial lamps to replace.

I really have just one question — what mean spirited and sadistic designer decided how those two lamp assemblies would be installed?  Did he ever actually attempt to (1) get them out of the radio so the bulbs could be replaced and (2) drive himself to the verge of insanity and institutionalization (or drugs, or worse) trying to get them back in?  I think not … :)
