[Hallicrafters] USA postage to Australia? Microphone What the?

It just cost me $7.70 to send a 5 ounce padded envelope containing a 26 
page pamphlet to Toronto Canada.  On the other hand, I purchase some pet 
medication from a vet supply in Australia.  They send me a package 
containing 6 - 2 or 3 mL tubes for $6.00 US.  Go figure!
