I'm glad you chimed in!
It just further demonstrates this gray area.
Too many names that were actually made by someone altogether different.
Uniden had themselves buried in so many different advertised named
products that makes it difficult to keep track of. They were especially
involved in many CB radio names that if you can simply identify the main
board, you can find a large number of them made by Uniden.
Just about "any" upd-858 PLL is theirs. That covered almost all of
those by Cobra and Radio-Shack, (Realistic).
I have even traced a few Hy-Gain chassis' that were nothing but Unidens.
