F stands FCC version.Also the front panel should  say "SX-17 F FCC model".It  has only one output tube a 6F6.

I have a beat-up SX-17 that I just bought. Someone wrote inside the chassis: 
SX-17F. Does anyone know what the F stands for?

Also, if anyone has an SX-17 cabinet they'd like to sell, please let me know.
