I could not agree with Mike, more.  There IS an alternative, however.  The 
UPS "Customer Service CENTER" (not store) here in Denver, has a terrific 
method that's available IF you ask for it.  They use catalytically-activated 
foam "pillows", to create a  custom shipping container inside the box that's 
"FORM FITTED" to whatever you're sending.  The great part is that you can 
also REUSE it, as it fits perfectly.  Unlike bubble or peanuts (which do 
NOTHNG but shift, and get into everything), the foam material is contained 
within the plastic sack it comes in (multiple sizes).  I've shipped 
SX-62A's, SP-600's, and a pair of Multi-Elmac AF-67's, using this method, 
and they arrive in PERFECT CONDITION.  Warning - NOT ALL UPS CSC's have this 
stuff, so call & ask, first.
