I trust you are aware that almost none of the capacitors in your S-38B  
have to be replaced with their exact labeled values for the set to  
OPERATE just fine.  The exceptions would be a few mica caps in  
resonant RF circuits.  For a typical .05 mfd screen bypass cap, for  
example, any value .005 through 1 or 2 mfd would work OK.  Maximum  
original authenticity, if that's what you're striving for, is another  
matter of course.
