[Hallicrafters] FPM-300 help needed

This is a special request for those who have a FPM-300 that is accessible
enough for someone to pop the hood and take a couple of pictures, and maybe
more.

The PO of my FPM did not retain the original hardware for the top cabinet
cover (lid) at the upper rear hinge points. The missing hardware doesn't
bother me or the rig until, of course, one wants to pop the hood without
having the whole lid flopping around loose.

I am hoping someone will humor me on this trivial matter and be kind enough
to take a couple of real close up picture of the hardware attaching the
upper R & L rear lid pivot points. A detailed written description would be
appreciated if you can't get a picture due to lack of room even when the lid
is pivoted up. The FPM Service Manual is silent on *exactly* what hardware
and spacer sizes are used.

In looking at mine, it wouldn't be too difficult to gin up a solution for
the left pivot point. I would epoxy a hex nut inside the frame on the left
upper side that would receive an appropriately sized screw inserted from the
outside of the cabinet through a spacer, then though the frame and finally
into the hex nut.

The upper right side looks more problematic since the bore (threaded hole)
in the frame of the PA compartment for the screw or fastener, that would be
inserted through the hole in the lid, looks tapered and much too shallow to
grip the threads of a fastener. I'm prepared to run a drill through the
hole to enlarge it. That would allow me to epoxy a hex nut on this side
also. But before I go through all that, however, I would really like to
know what the stock Hallicrafters arrangement was for these two pivot
points.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks es 73,
Chris
