On, but Off subject - a classic case of electronic archeology is the KWM-2 & 
2A.  They used those Vector turret-type tube sockets, and if there's a 
problem with your Low B+, it'll fry all those resistors on that line - Ahhh, 
and then you get to UNLAYER all the other stuff, to get TO those resistors. 
2nd. Osc's on SX-71's come to mind.
