[Hallicrafters] S-38B in the movies

Since the movie came out in 1949 (I just watched it as well), the receiver would have to be either an original S-38 that was introduced in late 1946 or the S-38A that came out in early 1949. The S-38B didn't come out until 1951. I didn't count the number of knobs on the front. The original S-38 has a knob for the BFO pitch whereas the S-38A does not have this knob.
I would believe that the receiver was an original S-38 because the S-38A wasn't that common when the movie was made.

Was just watching DANGEROUS PROFESSION with George Raft, and at one point his honey calls "Nick", and on the desk (in the shot) is an S-38B or C. Never knew about that one before.
