[Hallicrafters] SX-62 color

I rather suspect that Hallicrafters color-matching varied with the time of day, weather, and the position of the sun with respect to the guano-encrusted skylight in the ceiling of the paint room as the old man with Coke-bottle glasses used a canoe paddle to stir his mix in the 55-gallon drum beneath the glimmer of a single 60-watt drop light.

Hmm... model railroaders are the world's most notorious color-nitpickers; but Halli-restorers are close on their heels.

But seriously, for what it's worth... the best color I've found for "Halli black" is Rust-Oleum Satin Black. Rust-Oleum also makes a Pewter which is a pretty darn good match for the perforated cabinet lids.
