Hi all,
My HT-30 manual calls for a 2 watt 18 ohm resistor that is to be put
across the speaker terminals to keep a continuous load. Can someone
explain why this is done? Is it necessary for sure? While I have you,
would anyone have one in their junk box so I dont have to order $20.00
worth of resistors that I dont need just to get this one? Radio Shack
just doesnt have anything with this high a wattage rating. Not sure why
it needs to be this high of wattage. All I have in my junk box is 1/4
watts and I dont want to solder a bunch together to get the value I
need. That would end up being a mess on the back of the radio..

Thanks-Bob-W0YBS
