[Hallicrafters] SX-32 question

For those who have the SX-32..  My 32 has the same main dial
string arrangement as my 28 - with one exception.   My 32 does not
have the two pointer arrows that are shadowed by the dial light in the 28.

The 32 dial light moves like the 28 but does not have the arrows..  Why have
the dial light move if (in my option) there is no reason for it to move..

If I am missing something, let me know...  Thanks
