Raymond and group,
What source did you find that covered the damage to 40673 FETs by atom
static? I would like to read it to understand exactly what the atom static
does to the FET. Although, it kinda doesn't matter because if the atom
static affects ("knocks out") all 40673 FETs, then the ones I have are
toast, also. Does anyone know of a way to test these dual gate FETs out of
circuit? Would the tester shown on page 7 (my count- the pages aren't
numbered) of world wide web dot
portabletubes.co.uk/sitefiles/50FETProjects.pdf be suitable if one tested
the gates individually? Maybe there's a better way to test dual gates? Any
suggestions?

Thanks all for the complete info. One thing I did learn is the leads should
be wrapped to shield atom static. Mine have been in a zip lock bag for 20
years or so and Amy damage will most likely be done by now.
Thanks all. What a group.
