I would encourage you to scan the panel before doing anything. Then should 
disaster strike you still have the artwork for making a silk screen.

Does the dial scale on the SX-133 have the same problem as other models of 
that era where the white letters will fall off the glass? I have one that 
needs to be cleaned. I don't want to remove it if it has the problem. I will 
search for a replacement instead.
