He made some wonderful replacement dials, too. Got a set from his last run,
sure glad I did. Well worth the cost, they are flawless.

Sorry for your loss, Doug. It's never easy getting rid of an estate,
especially for someone you knew. I'd guess a good, clean, working example
today should bring $400-$700 depending on overall condition and
level/quality of repairs or restoration. They are great receivers that
look, feel, and sound just like an old receiver should. Mine is clean but
unrestored, think I paid $200 or so for it back in '97. Needs an overhaul,
caps etc, but will never leave my possession until I'm either dead or
staring off into space drooling on myself. And I don't mean at a hamfest.

Guess you didn't make NEAR-Fest this time around, Phil. I didn't either.
Hope to meet up with you one of these times.
