The cell phone check is meaningless for location today.  My daughter lives
in Virginia, works in DC and holds a cell phone that says Minnesota.  She
has been doing this for more than six years.

My son similarly has a phone based over seven states away from where he
currently lives.  His cell phone connection also serves as his only internet
connection as he lives in a rural area.

Both operate with the cell phones being their only telephones.

Oops!  Sorry, just realized I guess I should read more responses before
responding  as someone may already have made this point.  I am a creature of
habit, reading messages in time sequence.  So shoot me.
