[Hallicrafters] SX-100 vs SX-88

Correction, it sold for $6000. Seller stated 2nd Converter deck was pulled  
to replace caps and out of spec resistors inside but no mention of the 1st  
and 2nd RF and Mixer. That is not an easy job and apparently seller hoped  
the original parts in there were still OK. Requires  removing both variable 
caps and removal and disassembly of the  bandswitch to allow each modular RF 
section to come out. Not  many takers for that.

I like my  R-274/SX-73;  excellent performance at a fraction the cost of an 
8.  The only 88 I like  is a Rocket 88.

Yes, both the SX-88 and SX-100 are  nice  receivers.
However, they sure don't
compare to one of  the  S-38s!
