Things to watch are items such as GPS receivers.  They will be 
vulnerable to the CME effects by interfering with the GPS satellites.

Monitoring beacons can also be a valuable source of what is taking place 
when.

This particular CME has already begun striking the Earth, and has 
started being observed by the Aurora Borealis in the Northern Hemisphere.
