[Hallicrafters] SX-115 anomaly

Ok you Halligan heros out there... Here is one to ponder. I have owned an SX-115 receiver for about 3 years now, and find it to be a terrific piece of equipment. I purchased it on Ebay, (probably paid more than I should have), checked and replaced some tubes, did an alignment, (didn't require much), and have been using it as my primary receiver ever since.
One thing that is a very slight problem that continues to bother me, but not so much to really tear in to it, is that when I first power the rig up, the actual receive frequency is about 50 khz higher than displayed. This would indicate to me that the 3rd mixer or ssb crystal oscillator is not firing. The fix is to simply change the band switch up or down then back to the desired band, and the radio works fine. It always does this on power up, and stays working after I do the band switch thing.... Like I said, this is not a big deal, and I could live with it, but am just curious to what is causing this and what you guys can come up with.
Thanks in advance,
James Marshall
