After doiing a good job of packing, I was rewarded by the dial window of my 43 being broken by Fedex! Amazing.
Does anyone have a parts unit from which I can get the window?

Good evening Paul:
I gathered some doc that will help you to understand the genesis and progression of the SX-117 design.
You will find all five schematics, ?A? through ?E? in the schematics section of www.k9axn.com. Also, you will find the design specs, EC notes, and some miscellaneous stuff, same site service notes for SX-117.
It?s there for anyone to upload and enjoy. Any questions, send a note.
BTW, I?m still looking for the ?C? through ?E? schematics for the SR-400 ----- anyone? Someone must have them!
Kindest regards Jim K9AXN

I have searched the web and cannot find any spec data on the following Johnson air variables.
158-2-18
189-4-51
193-4-11
Does anyone have any old (circa 60's) data on Johnson caps.

Walt:
In the 40's and 50's EF Johnson, Hammarlund, National, Cardwell, Millen,
etc., would have ads in QST and essentially a small part of their catalog in
the advertising section of each ARRL handbook.
The information was at best summary, but it showed their major capacitor
lineups and common capacities/voltage ratings.
More complete sales-based listings showed up in the 50's Radio Shack,
Allied, Newark, Burnstein-Applebee's, etc., catalogs.
Many of the above can be found on the web. For example 1951 Radio Shack
catalog: http://www.radioshackcatalogs.com/catalogs/1951/ pages 130-132 has
National, Millen, and Cardwell capacitors.
Each company also had 3-hole punched pamphlets with more complete and
technical listings of their product lines, I had some of these 35 or 40
years ago, but wow that was a long time ago. I'm sure I don't have them
anymore.
Gene, W?QFC
