[Hallicrafters] Panel Lettering

Actually, the business was bought several years ago by a fellow here
in NC. Last I'd heard, he was done with it for whatever reasons. My
last two queries went unanswered. Probably been a year or more. I'll
be seeing some of guys from his area at Frostfest, will ask them if
they've heard any more. A lot of good screens involved, along with
custom paints. If he's not going to proceed, hopefully someone else
will or has stepped in.

The thing to keep in mind with screening a textured surface is that it
will seldom appear as sharp as a smooth panel surface. 'Bleeding' to
some extent takes place, giving the lettering a slightly thicker or
fuzzy look on close inspection. Nothing unusual, though some folks
getting panels re-screened in recent years expected a level of
perfection that never existed on the original equipment.
