[Hallicrafters] BAMA ? and Tube tester ?

Hi,
   I have and use a Hickok 6000A tube tester.  But I also have but have never used a Westmore Laboratory Tube Analyzer 501 (same as a Triplett 3444).  Does anyone have comments on one tester vs. the other?
   I am looking for a manual for the Westmore 501 (or Triplett 3444) and I've read that one is in BAMA.  However BAMA (right now at least) is severely trashed.  What is the story on BAMA?  Is it being fixed?  Is there another way in?  Etc.
