[Hallicrafters] SX-100 MK 2 - Wierd S-meter

If it is near ZERO until you connect an antenna and then it moves upscale 
that is normal. You are seeing the noise floor at your location.

I did a test this morning with my Drake R4. 80M=S9, 40M=S6,20M=S3.

With the SX-100 in SSB or CW it is probably seeing the BFO.
