I have a ht44 / sx117 that I am trying to use in Transceive (Slave) mode. One of the critical adjustments is the BFO on the sx117  as described in section

6-11 in the sx117 manual in order to get a zero beat in both LSB & at the same time in USB. Mine is way off so I have removed the BFO control to get at the slug inside.

I have done this a number of times but still cannot get it adjusted correctly.

Any help would be appreciated.
