I just wanted to wish all members of these lists a peaceful and happy holiday season. We certainly need more pleasant things to think about than the horrible news beaming us at the present time.

Here's a thought I wanted to share.........

I restore a lot of old radios and boatanchors. At least I did until I came to my senses / ran out of money. ha ha

I realize that chemistry 50 years ago is not what it is today, BUT......
Imagine how much better our old radios would look today, if they had 'clear coats' for the Drake chassis, Halli knob skirts, etc...

I have a really nice SX-101A that's beautiful, except the metal skirts on the knobs that did not fare well, from previous owners: sweat, funk, etc. Even though I'm NOT a 'germ-a-phobe, I now wash EVERYTHING that comes in my shop!

Want to know what the MOST contaminated item is in your favorite restaurant? Google it. I NEVER would have guessed!

Anyway, sorry for the rant, just my random thought for today... ha ha

Subject: [Hallicrafters] Hallicrafters S-200 Legionnaire Volume Knob

Hi--I have recently joined your listserv and am looking for a replacement volume
knob for my Hallicrafters S-200 Legionnaire set. The silver front has some
years ago fallen off the current knob. Any help you could provide for obtaining
one would be appreciated, thanks. Dave.
