If you have not already done so, replace all the capacitors that couple the chassis ground to the "floating" ground. If you did this already but used regular caps, you might replace those with some rated at least 600 volts; or with AC-rated capacitors.
When working in the audio section did you use caps marked with an "outside foil" band on one end? If those are present, and the outside foil is connected to a grid instead of the preceding plate, you'll get hum. Reverse them and see what happens.
Or, do you merely have a tube with heater to cathode leakage? Replace it.
Be careful with Acey-Deucey radios especially the ones in metal cabinets. They can kill you, and that quickly. If you have no isolation transformer, get one. Using one all the time might even help the hum a bit.
