The method, described by Walt Cates works for the Heath SB-200's & SB-220's 
too (which is where I learned it).  I however, use two pieces of 2x2, upon 
which I place the outer (usually vertical) edges of the units.  The radio is 
done exactly as Walt says, but the wood blocks space the knobs a bit away 
from the bench surface. - the last thing you want is a fragile pot, having 
it's guts pushed in by the knob & shaft.
