[Hallicrafters] SX-110

I posted this question on the Hallicrafters web site under the tech support
then remembered I could ask the question here and maybe get a faster
response:

I just finished cleaning the chassis on a Hallicrafters SX-110.

I removed the original Front Pane to access more of the dirt below and
around it. I had read on a site
(http://pcbunn.cacr.caltech.edu/jjb/Hallicrafters/SX110/sx110.htm)

the lettering will come off in washing, but the pane on this one had already
lost parts of the logging dial so in preparation of reassembly I got a
replacement from RadioDaze.

My call for help involves: Upon removing the original Front Pane there was
weather-stripping (with the protective covering still on the adhesive), and
rubber or vinyl pads that stuck to and fell of the pane. I haven't a clue
where they came from or where to put replacements, if replacements are even
necessary. I think the weather-stripping was to control the lighting of the
pane, but without a lot of fooling around and risk to the new pane, I won't
get this figured out and was hoping someone knew where the weather-stripping
went.

PS - non-scratching bamboo chop sticks and gun cleaning patches work well
for cleaning a chassis one does not want to disassemble.
