I haven't measured the crystal oscillator output.  My HA-6 is working fine and I follow the old Texas adage:  If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!

Glen,

I guess a muffin fan replacement is probably in order.

Have you measured the crystal oscillator output on each crystal.  The 
manual says 4-6V rms and equal within 0.5V.  Using my scope and a 10X 
probe, I get about 10V on the 22 MHz and 7.6V on the 24 MHz peak to 
peak.  No amount of fiddling with the setting of L12 seems to increase 
the voltage or bring them closer together.

I have an HA-2 I haven't even started on.
