An observation....
I used a Lampkin 105B in two-way mobile radio servicing; yes, it's been a while.... was a nice instrument; but for working at HF, a NC-221 or Navy LM is far more useful since it (should at least) has a calinration book. With the Lampkin, ypu have to compute the dial reading for each and every frequency you plan to measure. That's fine for a few discrete mobile requencies; but for working at HF it is something you'll get tired of, real fast.
Still, a free Lampkin, if it works, should not be refused.
