[Hallicrafters] DD-1 on Long Island

   I've been trying to run down DD-1 serial numbers.  If you could provide a contact or even just get the s/n for that unit I would appreciate it.  Thanks.

Update on the DD-1; the seller wants $7000 and it does not have  the base 
speaker cabinet. 

There is also a complete DD-1 currently being offered  piecemeal on eBay 
for $13,000.00 total (cabinet sold separately) but  it may have another 
birthday advertised there at that price in this  economy. 

A complete DD-1 with amplifier and power supply and the wooden speaker  
cabinet was listed on eBay a couple of years ago (before the economy crashed). 
I  sent the seller a buy-it-now offer of $7500, he declined my offer stating 
he  preferred to let the auction run its course and it eventually bid up to 
$5800 at the end. I was very surprised it brought no higher bids than  
that and asked the seller if he was really going to let it go for  that. He 
thanked me for my offer and explained it was his decision to roll the  dice, it 
bit him this time and he was going to have to let it go for the  $5800. I 
did save all the pictures, it was the most beautiful DD-1 I have even  seen. 
I know of another complete one in Long Island priced in between.
