Im reading the original ad right now and it says nothing about "available on
priority for now"
What is does say is "available as soon as military demands are filled" And
further down the page "We will be glad to send you details on the RME series
receivers as they are announced"
It wasnt until the April issue that a tiny " * Now sold on priority to
essential services" showed at the bottom of the page.
Still no pricing or listed by any dealers even in December 45 CQ.
The first dealer listing is in the October 1945 QST at $166 which also
included the Big 3. I suspect the OPA had restricted the release. The
HQ-129X certainly was a better deal at $129 then.
