I am interested too! I have 2 of these, both basket cases I got with a package deal including several more items including a BC-342N, BC-375, a couple of dynamotors and a Precision RF generator.

My 2 candidates are pretty sorry examples. No mods but rusty, dial displays warped/discolored, meter glass loose, cabinets need re-paint, etc. Haven't even explored the electrical end as yet.

The 342N is retored with mods and is a nice AM shack addition.

Hi!

Anyone on the list have practical experience with the S-27?

I've had one for 20 or 25 years. I remember that when I first got it I listened to FM broadcast stations with it and it worked very well.

I have not used it since, but it strikes me that, with 10M open now, it might make a good 10M AM receiver.

Before I attempt to break my aging back lugging it up the stairs, I thought I'd check to see what the opinion of the group may be.

Barrie, W7ALW
