At the cost of perpetuating this thread, I have to thank you guys 
because evidently the recent discussion was good juju.  Today at a small 
hamfest in the Quad Cities, I bought the matching RME 6901 speaker for 
my 6900 receiver.  It came from a boatanchor buddy who I see at all the 
'fests, who just happened to remember he had it at the last moment and 
brought it along.  Price paid was $40.

In light the above, I'd like the next discussion to focus on six-foot 
tall St. James grey transmitters, please ;-)
