John, that reminds me of what happened to me at the Belvidere IL 
hamfest  in September.   Looking down an aisle I couldn't believe my 
eyes when I saw a National HRO-500TS speaker sitting on top of another 
boatanchor receiver.  This is the matching speaker for the HRO-500 and 
I'd never seen one for sale before regardless of price.   The seller 
first asked if I knew what it was, and we talked about the HRO-500 for a 
while, then he said that he wanted to sell the speaker along with the 
NC-300 it was sitting on.   At $350 for the pair I was tempted but 
decided to ask one time if he'd sell the speaker separately.   To my 
surprise he said he'd take $30 for it!    I later talked to at least two 
others who had been unable to get him to separate it before me, so I 
guess it was just my lucky day!

I don't have a 6901 speaker, but I do have the 4302 that matches my RME 
4350 and 4301 sideband adapter.  Some guy had built a code practice 
oscillator into it, and sold it to me for two bucks!
