Richard and Jim,

I have not worked on an S-20 or the HQ-129. I have run into the 6K8 in old H&H Scott Philharmonic Stratavarious. It had noise problems that were cured when I replaced the 6K8 with the glass version 6K8G. The old Scott had huge chrome plated solid copper tube shields so going to glass wasn't a problem.  There is also the 6K8-GT and a couple CV--- and VT---- direct subs.
