[Hallicrafters] Short Film 10min w/ S-38

My mother's friend, Sy Posner, plays a grandfather fidgeting with his "old piece of junk" that he gets to finally work half way through this cut film. He slams it with his hand as he gives up! The radio is a Hallicrafters S-38. It is about a mute boy whose father is a WW2 pilot. It shows his home-life and cutaways to what his father is busy doing. The ending is somewhat spooky. That is all I can say. This film was entered into a short film contest and did well. The grandmother's acting is too contrived. The others are pretty good especially the boy.
