    Neither "crystal" or ceramic microphones are made of 
quartz. Quarts is used in frequency control and filter 
crystals but the material in crystal microphones is 
"rochelle salt". The ceramic is another material but that 
_is_ related to the dielectric used in capacitors. All this 
infomation is available on the web.
