Normally, that would be ok but the only thing that really means anything is
what time the bidding site says it is.

Some Atomic Watches are solar powered and some run on a battery.
Generally, unless you live your life in a metal box all the time, the WWV
time signal will get to your watch at least once a day or more, to keep
the watch calibrated with accurate time, especially when micro seconds
are important to you. Those last 10 seconds of bidding time can be very
important.
