[Hallicrafters] Remember Saturday Halli Net!

Hi All,

Please join us on Saturday February 19th for the Hallicrafters 40 meter Net. 
Contrary to a rumor floating around the Ionosphere, the 40 meter Net is NOT 
dead! The pathetic propagation the past years may have not allowed many 
former participants to hear the NCS and/or the ongoing traffic. Just the 
same, our backup NCS N8AZC, Mike Lopez, in central Ohio and I, W8DBF, Duane 
Fischer, in Flint, Michigan, are still out there listening! So hang tough, 
keep calling and sooner or later one of us has got to hear you!

Last Saturday Mike and I had the band to ourselves! The propagation was 
great and we chatted for over one hour! Too bad more of you were not present 
to enjoy the propagation with us! So beat feet for the old Ham Shack 
tomorrow, fire up those vintage vacuum tube wonders (or the solid state 
technological marvel) and join us for some fun, facts, and probably a few 
fibs too!

Somewhere I think that I heard there was supposed to be a world wide DX 
contest this weekend, but do not let that keep you away!

Here is hoping to hear more of you on 7.280 MHZ LSB at 12:30 PM EST/1730 
UTC, for the pre-Net and at 1:00 PM EST, 1800 UTC, for the HHI 40 meter Net 
proper. Be there or be a square wave dude!
