Hi Jack,
 
I have the military version of the SX-73, the R-274. I believe the  pinouts 
for E4 are the same.
 
Here is what I have for E4
 
1 & 2:   150 Ohms
 
3:         Ground
 
4 & 5:   150 Ohms.  I believe that if you jumper  terminals 2 and 4, you 
will wind up with 600 Ohms on pins 1 and 5.
