I probably walked right past your old theater, John. Was over there a
couple years back picking up some radio gear in Tryon and spent the
afternoon in Asheville walking around, taking in the sights. There's
an old Dept store turned into an art gallery that still has the old
soda fountain/diner area setup and working.

Being a bit younger, movies were 25 to 50 cents when I was a whipper,
usually double features with shorts before and between. One cartoon
comes to mind of one character sending real CW from the caboose,
apparently one of the writers was a ham and it was CQ along with his
callsign.

When I was a bit older and went to single shows, they never minded if
you stayed for both showings. I remember doing that for the Battle of
Britain and several others.
