[Hallicrafters] S-38 manual(s) & switch

Talking about the S-38 series volume/pot control, I need one too.  It's a 2 
meg audio pot and not the normal 1/2 meg or 1 meg audio pot.  That said,  I 
am thinking of using a 1 meg audio taper pot with switch from Mouser.  Has 
anyone done this and used a 1 meg pot and does it work OK?  I know the thing 
would work just fine as a volume control, but being 1 meg instead of 2 meg 
I'm wondering if it would screw up the AGC circuit.  This worry has bugged 
me for some time.  (I guess I should just try it and find out for myself)!

PS:  I am not wanting Tom's request for the pot.  If you have one, get it to 
Tom and not to me!
