    The only advice I can give is to be very careful in 
adjusting the RF on higher frequencies that the oscillator 
is on the right side of the signal. The set has virtually no 
image rejection so its easy to get on the wrong one. Since 
the AVC can not be disabled the idea is to adjust using the 
lowest signal level you can. These receivers may be only 
gussied-up AA-5's but they work surprizingly well 
nonetheless.
