OK, Found out what was wrong......
My HT-44 has the optional antenna relay MOD!
The wiring of that option changes pin 2/3.
The good news is...I have it working....AND no DK-60 relay needed! Yeh!
OK, now, who will meet me on 20 to have a checkout QSO soon(I'm on
there now)???
Jack, are you available?
Someone just tell me a freq. and will meet up
73,
Lee

I just looked at mine again and it is open until I ptt. You of course
know
that hallicrafters did not use the most expensive part especially after
it
was taken over by Northrup.
Let me know what you find and you must have that cable I sent, right?

Jack,
Well I thought of that ..it is down in Tranceive.
I just got into it...pin 2 & 3 are shorted with power off...
I think there is a antenna relay mod in there...
Looking at it now.

Hi Lee....pins 2 & 3 are open on mine and shorted when in transmit.
Might
this have something to do with the switch on the back of the ht-44?
It's
supposed to be down in transcieve mode.
Jack
ps did you get the coax I sent?

Hi,
OK, I just hooked up the SX-117/HT-44 for transceice.
Looks like the external (DK-60) antenna relay is UP when in receive!
Pin 2 and 3 are supposed to be to the normaly open relay contacts.
I meter them as closed with the HT-44 OFF???
The book and wiring diagrams say that's they way it is supposed to
be...So, is the book & diagram wrong here, or do I have a problem with
someone screwing with the HT-44?
Thanks,
Lee
