I have a similar request.  I have a nice looking SR-150 in the 
"to-be-restored" pile that has a transistorized mod that I have not been 
able to identify as to what the purpose of it is.  It has been kludged 
in a most haphazard way, and I would like to put it back to the original 
circuit.  I will take some photos and try to find a site to post them.   
Anyone have a clue as to what this might be about?
