I use a Marconi 2022C and an IFR-1000A - NEITHER of  them can be "rocked", 
but you CAN raise and lower the output frequency as little as possible with 
the UP/DOWN function (however it's accomplished on YOUR generator). 
Typically, if you get your input freq CLOSE, it's good enough.  At first I 
thought the question was about the calibrator (which is NEVER right).  I 
"rubbered" the xtal. freq with a small ceramic trimmer in parallel with the 
crystal - that allowed me to zero it - just like when I wanted to "shift" my 
NOVICE rocks, back in '62.  (I've done THREE SX-62's with that trick)
