As far as I could tell over the years, the SX-28 FCC is nothing more then
a SX-28A. Spot checks using several schematics did not show any
differences in wiring. There might be some minor variations in component
parts (i.e. potted versus unpotted power transformer) but no revelations
in design. Of course, over Hallicrafters life span, they were well known
for not making formally documented circuit and part changes done on the
production line.
