Depends on several factors. Are all pieces clean with good original
paint or have all been repainted... or need repainting? Recapped and
working or needs to be recapped? Gassy PL-172 or good Eimac 8295A?
Generally speaking without knowing specifics typical figure for this
combo is around $2500 for nice well above average condition but might
need to adjust downward a little now due to fewer potential buyers for
big ticket stuff in this current economy. Some will balk at this figure
but it's what I would expect to have to pay for nice stuff. Deduct $$
accordingly for minus condition and add for plus condition. I have seen
near mint stuff sell for nearly four times what average condition
usually brings so this is worth considering on a case by case basis if
say the SX-115 is way above average. IMO blue chip quality is usually
worth the extra dollars but this is not true for everyone and is
totally subjective of course. Sure makes it easier to sell when selling
day arrives though.
Regards, Greg
